Honda: Model year 2020 with new Civic

Honda’s compact car welcomes the Sport Line into its range.

The Civic family, at Honda, was until now the specialist of the huge gap. A massive avenue separated the conventional versions (packed with great features) and the turbulent Type R. There was plenty of scope to offer an intermediate version.

In order to fill this gap, for 2020 Honda is offering the Civic Sport Line. Honda has made a wise choice by combining a sporty look, an attractive quality/price ratio and efficiency. The Civic Sport Line will be available in two levels of finish: the low-end “Comfort” and the high-end “Executive”. The distinction is drawn mainly in terms of style. Like the Type R, the Civic Sport Line has front and side skirts, as well as an evocative spoiler and a rear diffuser. The colour chart now includes a new shade, Obsidian Blue, and the 17-inch rims are a glossy black. Inside, the upholstery is adorned with red topstitching.

Under the bonnet, this car offers a 1-litre 3-cylinder turbo engine. Developing 126 hp and 200 Nm, this engine can optionally be connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) system and paddle shifters.

Like the rest of the Honda range, the Civic Sport Line comes with an array of driver assistance and active safety features such as collision prevention, adaptive cruise control and even a lane-keeping system.

The Honda Civic Sport Line is now available to order at a price of 22,400 francs.
