At the forthcoming « Shift AUTOMOTIVE » forum, experts from the technology sector will discuss the influence of new technologies on the automobile world and examine the challenges for tomorrow. A series of opening speeches, presentations and panel discussions await visitors to the forum held on 6th March 2019 at the Geneva International Motor Show.
The programme, presenters and themes of the « Shift AUTOMOTIVE » forum indicate a promising event : The morning programme will examine how new technologies, such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, the internet of things (IoT), traffic control, artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) are the drivers of the automobile industry’s digital transformation. The first key speaker will be Microsoft’s Avijit Sinha, Director of IoT & Intelligent Edge.
The afternoon programme focuses on the challenges and trends of 'smart cars' and their interaction with their environment. “We are looking forward to many exciting insights into the topic and hope to address key issues facing trade visitors, press representatives and exhibitors alike. For this reason, the conference will also take place within the car show itself," explained Maurice Turrettini, President of the Geneva International Motor Show.

The Forum will be inaugurated by Maurice Turrettini, President of the Geneva International Motor Show, Jens Heithecker, Executive Director of the IFA, and Chaesub Lee, Director of the Bureau of Telecommunication Normalisation at the ITU. Roger Lanctot, Strategic Analyst at Automotive Connected Mobility will present the day’s programme.

The Geneva International Motor Show is organising the conference in partnership with the IFA and the Berlin Messe, with the support of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). Shift AUTOMOTIVE is a specialist conference organised every six months by the IFA, Messe Berlin, and the Geneva International Motor Show at Palexpo.
